The Central Election Commission of Armenia held a draw to distribute the positions of chairperson and secretary of the electoral commission of the polling station for the local self-government elections on October 25.

ArmInfo. At its meeting on September 22, the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia approved the distribution of the positions of chairperson and secretary of the electoral commission of the polling station for the local government elections scheduled for October 25, 2026, between the parties and party blocs with factions in the Armenian parliament.

According to a message from the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia received by ArmInfo, using the automated "Elections" system, the positions of chairperson and secretary were distributed in the following proportions: Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party - 315 each, Strong Armenia bloc - 143 each, Armenia bloc - 59.

According to the CEC's decision, applications for appointment of members of polling station election commissions must be submitted to the Central Election Commission from September 25 to 30, 2026, by 6:00 PM.

In another decision, the Central Election Commission accredited representatives of the observation mission of the NGO "Proportional Development of Populated Areas" to observe the local government elections on October 25, 2026.
