A funeral for analyst Richard Kirakosyan will be held in Condé on September 28.

ArmInfo. Richard Kirakosyan, director of the Center for Regional Studies and analyst, has passed away at the age of 61.

According to the Center for Regional Studies, a memorial service for Kirakosyan will be held on September 27 at St. Hovhannes Church in Kond. The farewell ceremony and burial will take place on September 28.

Nigar Göksel, director of the International Crisis Group's Turkey-Cyprus office, announced Kirakosyan's death on September 19 on her Twitter page (X). On September 18, the Center for Regional Studies reported that Kirakosyan had been hospitalized in an Istanbul hospital with a hemorrhagic stroke. "Kirakosyan came to Istanbul for a business meeting, but his health has worsened over the past week." He was diagnosed with an intracerebral hemorrhage. For the past two days, Richard Kirakosyan has been in the intensive care unit of Professor Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu Hospital in Okmeydani," the Facebook post stated.

Richard Kirakosyan was born on January 8, 1965, in Providence, USA. In the early 2000s, he moved to Armenia. Since April 2011, he has headed the Regional Studies Center (RSC), which he founded.
