A 10,000-square-meter plot of land in Victory Park in Yerevan will be returned to the Republic of Armenia

ArmInfo.  A 10,000-square-meter plot of land in Victory Park in Yerevan will be returned to the Republic of Armenia; the appeal filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office has been fully upheld. This is stated in a press release from the supervisory body.

According to the source, by a decision of the Administrative Court of Appeal dated September 11, 2026, the appeal of the Prosecutor General’s Office was fully upheld, and the decision of the Administrative Court dated March 11, 2024, was fully overturned and amended.  The basis for the lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office was that, by a decision of the Yerevan mayor dated April 8, 2008, a 10,000-square-meter plot of land was alienated for the construction of the "Golden Palace" hotel.  Meanwhile, this plot falls under the restrictions of Article 60 of the Land Code and was not subject to alienation.

After the judicial act enters into force, the amendments to the aforementioned decision of the Yerevan mayor will be declared invalid, while the state registration of the company’s ownership rights and the 10,000-square-meter plot of land located in Victory Park will be returned to the Republic of Armenia.
