Consultations between Armenian and U.S. military officials took place in Yerevan

Arminfo. On September 18, consultations between the militaries of Armenia and the United States were held in Yerevan. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the consultations were attended by representatives of the RA Ministry of Defense, Commander of the U.S. National Guard in Kansas Brigadier General Paul Schneider, and representatives of various structures of the U.S. Department of Defense.

During the discussions, the results of the programs implemented within the framework of cooperation between the RA and the United States in the field of defense in recent years were summed up.  The existing potential for developing cooperation in all areas was examined.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces Major General Artur Yeroyan, summarizing the consultations, emphasized that cooperation in all

the aforementioned areas is being carried out within the framework of the transformation process of the RA Armed Forces.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense of the United States Andrew Loomis noted that the United States will continue to support the defense reforms being carried out in Armenia, investing all its resources in the army transformation processes implemented within the framework of these reforms, including advisory support, exchange of experience, and support programs in other areas.

Following the consultations, the parties signed a protocol on the work carried out and the agreements reached.
