Israeli MFA congratulates Pashinyan

ArmInfo. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the ruling Civil Contract party on their victory in  Armenia's parliamentary elections.

"We congratulate the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and  the Civil Contract party on the victory in the parliamentary  elections in Armenia. Prime Minister Pashinyan has demonstrated  leadership by advancing his country toward peace and reconciliation  with Azerbaijan, which will promote regional stability and  cooperation," his message reads.

It should be noted that the "velvet" authorities of Armenia, who took  power after 2018, has set a course toward strengthening existing  relations with Israel. In line with this policy, resident embassies  were established in the capitals of both countries. Against this  background, the Armenian authorities have abstained from commenting  on the attacks against the Armenian Quarter in the Old City of  Jerusalem, which have intensified since 2023.
