Zaruhi Postanjan headed the Heritage parliamentary faction, deputy chairman of the Heritage party, Armen Martirosyan, told journalists today. He also added that Tevan Pogosyan was appointed the secretary of the Heritage faction.  

 Son of the Armenian Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Yuri Vardanyan, David Vardanyan, has been arrested on suspicion of drug traffic, the Armenian Police told ArmInfo. 

The Armenian national football team players have issued a letter of petition to team manager Vardan Minasyan. 
In their letter, the footballers asked Minasyan to review his decision and continue heading the squad, the Football Federation of Armenia official website reported.    
"We certainly respect Vardan Minasyan's decision, but we would like Vardan Minasyan to forego from it. We have gone along a difficult road with him for four years, [and] we were able to create a united team and make our fans happy. Also, we have gone along a good professional road with him, and we would like to jointly book the spot to the final in the new qualification stage. We await the decision by our head coach,"- the letter reads, in particular.   

According to the information provided by the Russian authorities, there were neither Armenians nor citizens of Armenia among the people injured in the terrorist act in Volgograd, Tigran Balayan, Armenian Foreign Ministry

An explosion in a bus of the 29th route on 21 October injured over 30  people and killed 6 in Volgograd. (Investigative committee reported that 32 were hospitalized).

Volgograd Region Health Ministry representatives say four of the injured are in the reanimation department. A 30-year-old woman, resident of Dagestan, Naida Asiyalova are suspected in the terrorist act.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gives high priority to development of Armenian-Byelorussian relations within scientific and technical integration, especially given the lack of oil and gas resources in Armenia and Belarus. "This is a very important issue", Lukashenko said during the Oct 21 meeting with the heads of the CIS news agencies when replying to ArmInfo's question. 

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko does not rule out provision of a special status to the so-called unrecognized or partially recognized state formations within the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space, which is under formation.  Lukashenko said this when replying to ArmInfo's question during the Oct 21 meeting with the heads of the CIS news agencies.
