Liqvor Pharmaceuticals is the first in Armenia to have received a Good Manufacturing Practice certificate, reports the press service of the Armenian Government.

 On the 10th of December, 2013, Haypost issued a stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the telephone network in Yerevan, the official website of Haypost says. The first telephone exchange was put into operation in Yerevan in 1913 with the possibility of 200 phone numbers, with 71 subscribers making use of it. The first international telephone lines Alexandrapol- Yerevan, Alexandrapol -Kars were run in 1914. This system remained till 1920. Armenian telephone line developed especially in the postwar years.

There is nothing extraordinary about Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu's visit to Armenia; it has no connection with Armenia-Turkey relations, the board chairman of the non-registered opposition Armenian National Movement party, Ararat Zurabyan, said at today's press-conference. 

 Representatives of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) held a march on occasion of the Human Rights Protection Day. The march started from the Liberty Square. 

The members and the supporters of ANC carried flags of Armenia and banners "Where are the March 1 murderers?"  "No Police Violence!" "Go Ahead Armenia without Serzh!"  Veterans of the Artsakh War and supporters of Shant Haroutiunyan, the leader of Tseghakron Party, who was arrested following the clashes with the police on 5 November in the Liberty Square, also participated in the march. The Police and Deputy Head of the Yerevan Police Valery Osipyan accompanied the march.    
Head of the ANC Faction in the Parliament Levon Zurabyan addressed those present saying that nothing will change in the country unless it "gets rid of Serzh Sargsyan's criminal regime." He introduced a resolution and message for the CoE Yerevan Office. Zurabyan said that he boycotted the extraordinary meeting of the parliament and failed to meet the US Assistant Secretary of State not to miss "the most important event that is taking place in the Liberty Sqaure."

 Human rights are violated in Armenia on a systematic basis, says the address sent by the annual demonstration of the Right to the CE Office in Armenia on Tuesday. 

 ARFD, ANC, PAP and "Heritage" parliamentary factions have started gathering signatures for application to the Constitutional Court on the matter of obligatory accumulative pension system. At present, they have managed to gather 30 signatures, though 27 are enough to appeal to the CC. 

  Recent talks between the presidents in Vienna and the foreign ministers in Kyiv have shown that the sides genuinely want to move beyond the current stalemate, U.S. co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick said in an interview with APA.

Officials in Ankara have cautioned against high expectations for Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's upcoming visit to estranged neighbor Armenia, but indicated that there was a chance for "normalization" to follow in the future, according Hurriyet Daily News.  Even if it does not yield any concrete outcomes, the trip will still mark a watershed, as it will be Davutoglu's first visit to Yerevan since the failure of efforts to normalize ties four years ago, the paper writes.

ArmInfo-Turan:  Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has refused to attend the BSEC meeting in Yerevan on 12 December. 

 Official Yerevan has offered Ankara a new 'road map' on normalization of the bilateral relations, a Yerevan-based Aravot newspaper writes citing a source at the Foreign Ministry of Armenia. The paper writes that the document was secretly transferred personally to Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu 10 days ago. It is noteworthy that Davutoglu is arriving in Armenia on 12 December to attend the meeting of the BSEC Foreign Ministers in Yerevan. 

 Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu will be welcomed with protests in Yerevan, the Student Union "Sargis Tkhruni" of the Hnchakyan Social Democratic Party announced in a statement. 

 Russia's presence in the South Caucasus is only a couple of centuries old and is full of dark pages for Armenian people, Heritage Party says in a statement. 

Armenian journalists have applied to Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan. They demand that Margaryan should cancel the decision on public transport fare rise.  The statement has been signed by 73 journalists. They remind the mayor of the promise he gave in the run-up to elections in 2012. To recall, last year the mayor promised not to raise the transport fare.       

 Stepan Hakobyan, the nephew of ex- parliamentarians Hakob Hakobyan (a.k.a. Lady Hakob), has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for organizing the murder of Sedrak Zatikyan, the son of the former head of Malatia-Sebastia community of Yerevan Vahan Zatikyan.
