Azerbaijan's provocative actions on the Line of Contact of the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces fit into the public policy of a terrorist and fascist state - Azerbaijan, David Babayan, Spokesman for the Nagorno-Karabakh President, has told ArmInfo.
He points out that this is not the first case when following the visits of the OSCE Minsk Group and other officials, Baku makes acts of provocation and escalates the tension on the Line of Contact. "These actions are nothing new and completely fit into the public policy of a terrorist and fascist state," he says.
Babayan says that the international community should give a harsh assessment to Baku's provocations, but it fails to. "The lack of such assessments triggers aggression. The Artsakh Defense Army takes relevant measures against that aggression, however, the international community should also make its own contribution to it," he says.
To note, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs finished their visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan on July 21. Since 2 pm, July 21, the Azerbaijani armed forces have intensively been firing at the Artsakh positions. On July 21, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired more than 1,600 shots at the Armenian positions with various weapons, including mine throwers and RPG-7 grenade launchers, as well as over 140 shots with large- caliber weapons. -
