Remains of Sepuh (Arshak Nersisyan), the remarkable figure national-liberation struggle, the talented captain of the first Armenian Republic 1918-1920, will be committed to the ground at the Yerevan Pantheon "Yerablur" today on 20 November, Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan told the Government, Wednesday. A memorable evening will be held at the Armenian State Philharmonic Concert Hall at 5pm on the same day. Sepuh's remains were delivered to the Motherland overnight.
Arshak Nersisyan (1987-1940) fought against Ottoman Turkey for Sassoun's self-defense in 1904. During the WWI he joined military commander Andranik in the battles in the Caucasus Front. He was one of the founders of the Western Armenia refugee support fund in the First Republic of Armenia. He fought with Dashnaks in suppressing the communist rebellion in May 1920. With victory of the Soviet authorities, he migrated to the United States.
