GNC-Alfa CJSC (part of Rostelecom Group) and the town of Abovyan signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation on July 22. The press office of the company has told ArmInfo that the cooperation aims to develop the infrastructure of the urban community, protect the environment and enhance the living standards in Abovyan. Rostelecom will also provide the parks with free WiFi.
Vahagn Gevorgyan, newly elected mayor of Abovyan, gives high priority to cooperation with the private sector. He said that the company's contribution to the development of the community will enhance the level of the local infrastructure. CEO of GNC-Alfa CJSC Hayk Faramazyan, in turn, stressed the importance of the company's corporate social programs. He added that the head office of Rostelecom is in Abovyan and that such measures create favorable conditions for the company as well. Rostelecom is implementing similar projects in collaboration with the Municipalities of Yerevan, Kapan, Vanadzor and Dilijan.
