The Republican Party of Armenia
Executive Body and Council have presented Hovik Abrahamyan, Speaker of the
Armenian National Assembly, as the nominee for the post of the prime minister. The members of the RPA Executive Council have
unanimously approved the nominee, according to Eduard Sharmazanov, Armenian National Assembly Vice Speaker, RPA
Spokesperson.
Sharmazanov
said Hovik Abrahamyan’s candidature had been studied for a long time by
representatives of political forces and inside the Party.

Abrahamyan was born on 24 January 1958 in the village of Mkhchyan, Artashat,
Ararat Region, Armenia.
