Investigation Committee of Armenia has brought some details of the investigation in the family murder in Gyumri.
According to the report, an investigation group is in Gyumri where on 16 January together with experts it conducted additional investigation of the crime scene. A series of examinations, including forensic chemical, forensic medical and biological ones, have been appointed.
Relevant subdivisions of the police are charged to find and submit to the investigation video materials from surveillance cameras, if there are such, in the territories adjacent to the crime scene. Mobile operators are requested to submit all the incoming and outcoming calls of the Avetisyans.
The investigation group takes all the necessary measures to expose the possible hiding places of the criminal, his movement routes in Gyumri after desertion from the base up to the Avetisyans' house etc.
Investigation revealed that Permyakov penetrated into the Avetisyans' house by removing the frame of the entrance door and breaking the glass.
28 shells, 2 bullets, a Kalashnikov, and a uniform of the RF Armed Forces were found on the scene. The preliminary investigation is continued.
The Avetisians - two grandparents, their son and daughter, a daughter- in-law, and little girl - were shot dead on 12 January by Valery Permyakov, a soldier serving at Moscow's 102nd military base in Gyumri. A six-month-old boy, Seryozha - in critical condition after suffering stab wounds - is the only survivor. Permyakov has admitted to the murder. As it was reported earlier, Permyakov entered the Avetisyans' house to ask for water.
