The children of Gavar orphanage and Khachik village school received sports equipment from ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and Armenian journalists' football team. The press office of the Bank has told ArmInfo that the equipment was purchased thanks to the charitable football match with the participation of the World and Europe champion Youri Djorkaeff.
"Helping the children is our obligation. We are happy that as a result of the event organized by ACBA- CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK and Armenian journalists many children have an opportunity to do sport more actively. I am sure, this is not our last joint initiative and in the future we will try to do more," mentioned the captain of Armenian journalists' football team, chief editor of Mediamax D. Alaverdyan.
For his part, Narek Asatryan, the PR responsible of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, said, "Such problems are in the focus of ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK's attention. We will keep supporting the vulnerable children in the near-border communities".
To recall, during the charitable match in October 2015 Youri Djorkaeff played for ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE Bank team, and the former head coach of theArmenian national football team, the executive officer of "Pyunik" FC Vardan Minasyan played for the Armenian journalists' team.
To note, "ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK" CJSC has been operating in Armenia since 1995. Since September 2006, the majority shareholders of the Bank have been Credit Agricole S.A. (15.56%) and SJSC "Sacam International" (part of Credit Agricole S.A - 12.44%). Along with them, 10 agricultural cooperative unions hold shares in the capital of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK.
