Archeologists have found an old tomb of a high-class man in near the village of Gegharot on the side of Mount Aragats.
According to Director of the Archeology and Ethnography Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Pavel Avetisyan, in the tomb they have found arms and bronze figures of leopard.
"There we have also found the remains of horses. Those animals were buried together with the man as a sacrifice. The tomb dates back to XVI-XV BC," Avetisyan said.
The excavations near Gegharot are part of the Armenian-US archeological expedition carried out in Armenia since 1998.
