Representatives of opposition Armenian National Congress applied today in the parliament to the authorities demanding to accept their proposals on improvement of Armenian electoral system.
As the Head of ANC Faction Levon Zurabyan announced today, the Constitutional referendum was held with harsh violations and around 500 thousand votes were fabricated. "In order to exclude the possibility of rigging it is necessary to accept ANC's proposals on implementation of a new system of voting by fingerprints, installation of cameras in polling stations and publishing the voters lists after the elections", Zurabyan stated.
Leader of People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan in his turn noted that he system of e-voting on applying of which the authorities insist, has new threats for rigging the elections. "In order to regain people's trust toward elections it is necessary to eradicate the atmosphere of impunity and accept proposals made by ANC on improvement of electoral system", Demirchyan summarized.
