Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, have agreed to expand the OSCE monitoring group on the Line of Contact and on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, James Warlick, U.S. co-chair of the OSCE MG told RIA Novosti.
The diplomat said the co-chairs are actively working towards implementation of the commitments the two presidents assumed in Vienna and Saint Petersburg to reduce tensions and make progress in the peace process. Warlick said enlarged talks involving high-ranking officials from each country will be continued, as progress in the diplomatic efforts is necessary to reduce the tension between the conflicting sides. The arrangement to expand the monitoring group was made by the two presidents on May 16 in Vienna,
