Air Armenia refutes the rumors about bankruptcy disseminated by the local media outlets. The company points out that the misinformation affects the flights.
The company's statement says that the company faces no threat of bankruptcy, has no accumulated debts and has not lost any planes. Two planes of Air Armenia are currently being modernized in Holland. Aircraft maintenance is a compulsory and planned measure, which is taken in line with the aircraft lease agreement.
Air Armenia has never acquired or leased a plane from organizations representing Dubai, nor has it cooperated in this direction.
The company makes deals, signs contracts, assumes financial obligations and implements them in line with the agreements. The regularly disseminated information that the company has debts, which can lead the company to bankruptcy, has nothing to do with the reality. The company's problems are mostly connected with the local media's misinformation, which causes panic among the passengers and affects the flights. Air Armenia states that it conducts its flights in accordance with the flight schedule and commitments.
To note, Air Armenia CJSC was founded in April 2003. Before 2013 it was engaged in cargo transportation by air. Air Armenia has two Airbus 320 and a Boeing 737-500.
