The press-service of the Audit Chamber of Armenia has disclaimed the statement by Hovhannes Grigoryan, a representative of the Pension Fund, one of the accused in the case over ex-head of the Pension Fund Vazgen Khachikyan, claiming that Khachikyan had once paid $250,000 to Ishkhan Zakaryan, Head of the Audit Chamber, and was going to pay more later.
The structure called the statement silly, in response to ArmInfo's request. Grigroyan claims that Khachikyan demanded money from his subordinates to pay to Ishkhan Zakaryan.
To recall, Vazgen Khachikyan, ex-head of the Armenian Social Security Service, member of the Republican Party of Armenia, was arrested on 28 September for big embezzelments.
Earlier Khachikyan had been dismissed, because the Audit Chamber of Armenia revealed huge financial violations in the field. In particular, the matter concerns misappropriation of 113 mln AMD (285 thsd USD). The Audit Chamber fixed numerous violations connected with provision of pensions to the dead pensioners and to those who were not in the republic.
