Because of Russia's withdrawal from the US Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX), the Russian quota will be distributed among Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, "The New York Times" reported.
About 240 Russian students were participating in the FLEX high school exchange program. More than 100 extra slots will be opened for students from Ukraine, and the rest will go to Armenia, Georgia and Moldova.
Russia stopped participating in FLEX on 30 September, when it learned that an American same-sex couple has adopted a student from Russia.
