Zhirayr Sefilyan, an Artsakh war hero, one of the leaders of the Founding Parliament movement, does not want to comment on the speech Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan made at the March rally in Yerevan. On his Facebook page, Sefilyan says that he thinks it inexpedient to respond to the politicians' statements.
"Our people are tired of senseless sensations", he says. Sefilyan stresses the need to build a national state as soon as possible and to become a full-fledged international entity. It is first of all necessary to remove the ruling regime and to establish the people's power. He also urges "all serious people" to join the Founding Parliament's efforts to consolidate people and to liquidate the incumbent regime.
To recall, on March 1 Levon Ter-Petrosyan said that the ANC refuses to hold 15 sanctioned rallies before April 24. The ANC is ready to "present" these rallies to the political forces, which blame the ANC for privatizing Liberty Square. Ter-Petrosyan pointed out that the ANC is ready to tear the masks of the pseudo-oppositionists who try to buy the opposition electorate's votes and to contribute to retention of the ruling regime's power.
To note, the Founding Parliament has initiated a campaign "Armenian Genocide Centennial Without Regime". Meanwhile, MP Nikol Pashinyan has recently criticized the ANC's steps harshly. He stresses the need for institutional opposition in Armenia.
