With the financial support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and in collaboration with the international consortium headed by Ameria Management Advisory Company (with Pragma advisory company being a member of the consortium), the Armenian Government initiates "Armenia Investment Forum 2016" to be held in New York in September 2016. Prior to the forum, Armenia's investment programs will be presented in road-shows on different continents. The forum organizers point out that Armenia is a country with big investment prospects.
The forum will aim to stimulate foreign investment programs, present the competitive advantages of Armenia and the economy sectors that could interest the potential investors. These ideas were in the basis of the talks between the Armenian Government and the Asian Development Bank.
Tigran Jrbashyan, Development Director at Ameria Group, Head of Ameria Management Advisory Services, member of the Management Board of Ameriabank CJSC, says that Armenia will be presented at the forum in its true colors - with its own problems - with a view to find an adequate investor. Renewable energy, factory farming and other fields can spark the interest of foreign investors and find the relevant addressee. To exemplify a successfully implemented investment project, Arman Khachaturyan, Head of the Armenian Development Fund, told an ArmInfo correspondent about production of organic fertilizers in collaboration with the Canadian investors. He noted that the first lot of zeolite will be exported in late September.
David Dole, ADB Resident Representative to Armenia, says that Armenia is an attractive country for potential investors and that they have granted funds for the given project, believing in the investment future of the republic. According to Paul Davis, Head of Pragma, the extensive experience demonstrates that any developing country's economy needs inflow of foreign investments.
