ArmInfo. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas did not meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as Pashinyan left for the UN General Assembly in New York. CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov stated, RIA Novosti reports.
"The Secretary General did not meet Pashinyan, as he had left for New York during this time to participate in the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations," Zainetdinov said.
The CSTO Mission arrived in Armenia on September 15, after the corresponding decision of the Security Council of the organization on September 13. The CSTO Secretary General himself was in Yerevan on September 20-25. He met with the Chief of the General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces, Deputy Foreign Minister, visited the regions affected by enemy strikes. However, there were no meetings either with the minister of defense or with the head of government. We add that Pashinyan left for New York on September 22.
We also note that the Armenian Defense Ministry did not participate in the CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan, conditioned this by the situation on its borders.
