ArmInfo. The participation of internationally recognized artists in state cultural policy is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports). This was stated by head of the department Vahram Dumanyan during a meeting with the People's Artist of Armenia, opera singer Barsegh Tumanyan.
In particular, the Minister attached importance to the decision and readiness of Barsegh Tumanyan to stay in Armenia, and also recalled in this regard that Karen Durgaryan had accepted the invitation to take the position of acting director of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan.
The Minister stressed that the task of maestro Karen Durgaryan is to unite not only the creative potential of the theater, but also to ensure the maximum participation of Armenian art workers acting outside the theater in the processes ensuring the development of opera and ballet.
In turn, during the meeting, Barsegh Tumanyan presented his ideas and visions regarding the problems and regulations existing in the sphere of culture, in particular, touched upon the problems associated with operatic art and expressed his readiness to cooperate within the framework of state initiatives and events concerning the progress of operatic art.
