ArmInfo. Presidents of Iran and Turkey Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh during a telephone conversation.
According to media reports, Erdogan said that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has entered a new phase, "indicating the need to carefully avoid any action that could threaten the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan." The head of the Turkish state noted that peace and stability in Nagorno-Karabakh will open up new opportunities that will benefit the countries of the region, including Armenia. In turn, Rouhani, referring to the conflict, stressed the need to prevent the spread of terrorists' influence in the region and related problems.
