ArmInfo. Turkish President Recep Erdogan has long dreamed of his country becoming a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. Andranik Kocharyan, a MP from the "My Step" faction, the head of the parliamentary committee on defense and security, said this during a briefing in parliament.
The MP noted that the country that carried out the Armenian Genocide cannot become a co-chairman in the Minsk Group. Kocharyan stated that our position on this issue is clear and unshakable. "Especially now, when Turkey has active and visibly participation in hostilities in the Caucasus, and when hospitals and maternity hospitals are being shelled and bombed. We are convinced that peace negotiations should continue exclusively within the framework of the existing format of the OSCE Minsk Group," the MPsaid. Kocharyan stated that today our number one task is to recognize the independence of Artsakh. The MP is sure that the recognition of the republic will once and for all solve the Artsakh issue.
