Russian conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov joined the humanitarian initiative of the Assembly of Armenians and transferred his fee for the upcoming concert to the Assembly fund to raise funds to help the children of Artsakh. The musician's wife, TV presenter Sati Spivakova wrote about this on her Facebook page.
"All the funds raised from the #ArmeniYasToboy # Artsakh charity marathon will be directed to humanitarian aid to the children of Artsakh: ensuring emergency and urgent needs, including food, housing, medical and logistical support," Spivakova said.
Also, the maestro's wife published a fragment of Spivakov's speech at a concert in Yerevan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The initiative has previously been joined by a conductor, creator and art? orchestra leader Teodorr Currentzis, one of the most famous violinists in the world Sergey Khachatryan, jazz saxophonist Igor Butman, Mariam Merabova, who transferred their royalties for concerts in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Milan to the fundraising fund of the Assembly of Armenians.
