ArmInfo. The Security Council plans to hold an emergency discussion of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh on Tuesday in the format of closed consultations. A source in the organization told TASS about it.

According to the agency, today UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during which he called for an immediate ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
As UN Secretary General's Spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said at the briefing, the Secretary General is also scheduled to have a conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday.
“The Secretary General has just talked with the President of Azerbaijan, and very soon he will talk with the Prime Minister of Armenia,” Dujarric said. "During the conversation with the Armenian Prime Minister, he will repeat the same statement that he voiced in the conversation with the Azerbaijani President: a call for an immediate cessation of hostilities without preconditions for continuing negotiations under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group."
