ArmInfo. The RA Ministry of Health denies information that restrictions on schools in connection with COVID-19 are illegal.
"In social networks and some media, information is being spread that the court allegedly recognized the illegality of the mask regime in schools, and that since September 15, the restrictions applied in schools are allegedly illegal, and no one has the right to impose this order on children and teachers.
It should be noted that these statements are disinformation, mislead citizens, and have no legal basis. The decision to wear masks in schools in Armenia was made after studying international experience and taking as a basis the proposals of the World Health Organization and taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country. Once again, we urge you not to succumb to misinformation and take into account that our country is still in the period of an pandemic of coronavirus disease, and the main goal of all of us should be to protect children and thus preserve the health of our parents and grandparents," the Ministry stated.
To recall, classes in schools resumed on September 15. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, safety rules have been developed for schools. In particular, staff and students must wear masks; classes with more than 20 people will be divided into groups; the activity of canteens and buffets is prohibited; it is also prohibited to hold public events and circles. During the day, staff and students are provided with the necessary masks and disinfectants, as well as remote thermometers (at least for the number of school entrances).
During break, students do not leave the classroom. Leaving the classroom is regulated as needed under the supervision of the teacher. During the educational process at school, whenever possible, it is necessary to maintain social distance, excluding congestion and close contacts. It is forbidden to call students to the blackboard, students answer the lesson from their seats. At the end of the semester, students' knowledge is tested through a final half-year written work. Students and parents will be able to see grades in the electronic diary.
In total, 46671 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 42231 people recovered, 925 died. At the moment, 3232 patients are receiving actual treatment. It should also be noted that the spread of coronavirus infection (Rt COVID19) has increased in Armenia, which currently stands at 1.02, that is, each infected person infects more than one person.
