ArmInfo. As part of a working  visit to Tavush region, President Armen Sarkissian visited the border  village of Chinar, the press service of the presidential  administration reported.

According to the source, Chinari is located in the hottest spot on  the north-eastern border of Armenia, in the immediate vicinity of the  village are Azerbaijani military positions. Being under the constant  target of the Azerbaijani side, the village is subject to regular  enemy fire. The village was the focus of hostilities unleashed by  Azerbaijan in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani  border in last month and was shelled by an enemy.

The RA President visited a school in Chinari, the building and  property of which was seriously damaged as a result of the shelling.  Thanks to the donation of the sons of the president, Hayk and Vardan  Sarkissian, the school was provided with property (tables, chairs,  wardrobes), as well as computer equipment. The program, implemented  by Hayk and Vardan Sarkissian, is aimed at connecting the children of  Artsakh and various regions of Armenia with their peers from the  Diaspora.

Within the framework of the initiative of the RA President's spouse  Nune Sarkissian, schoolchildren of the local school will have the  opportunity to establish contacts with students from different  schools in Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora, starting a unique  cooperation. Emphasizing constant attention to children, Armen  Sarkissian once again expressed his readiness to support them both as  president and as a person. <In a way, I became a friend of this  school. You can assume that this is my school, and if there are  problems, tell me.  This also applies to the village," the President  said. On behalf of Armen Sarkissian, the issue of heating the school  will be decided by the president's office.

The President also thanked Tavush border guards for supporting the  state border together with the armed forces. According to him, the  people living in this beautiful area are much deeper and more natural  than most of us. "This is paradise. People live in paradise, and many  of our compatriots do not realize that paradise is next to us," the  President said, urging to come and see this place. 

"This paradise contains the history and heritage of our people," said  Armen Sarkissian.

He noted that "we will win if we are all together, united in  Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora." "I am very optimistic, I am sure  that we will overcome all difficulties with our unity. The humanity  that we feel for our neighbor, friend, fellow villager is of great  value.  

And this value is often not appreciated, we do not value the wealth  in which we live, that is, human wealth, our nature, "the RA  President concluded, adding that being a teacher, director or head of  a village in a border village is not just work, but a mission. 

The President also thanked the residents of the village and all  border settlements, stressing that "the country's borders are  protected both by the high combat readiness of our brave army, and by  the will and resilience of the residents of border villages."
