ArmInfo.RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his family members got coronavirus. The prime minister announced this during his live broadcast on Facebook. Pashinyan informed that he had no symptoms, but he decided to take a coronavirus test because he was going to visit the front line.
According to him, his family members also do not have a high fever and other symptoms. Pashinyan emphasized that during the last month, before visiting his workplace, he measured the temperature, but there were no deviations from the norm. The prime minister did not rule out that he could become infected during one of the workshops, noting that a glass of water, served without a napkin, could become the cause of the virus. In particular, he was led to this idea by the fact that one of the waiters who worked that day was subsequently diagnosed with COVID-19.
Pashinyan noted that he will continue to work from home, remotely. He also once again called on citizens to comply with all anti-epidemiological rules, wear personal protective equipment, do not touch their faces with dirty hands, and maintain social distance.
As of May 31, a total of 9,282 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 3,386 people recovered, and 131 died.
