ArmInfo.The defeat of the Armenian Armed Forces car in the Nakhichevan direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border should be considered in the context  of diversion penetration attempts carried out by special forces of  the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the evening of May 22 at the Contact  Line with Artsakh. Former adviser to the President of Artsakh Tigran  Abrahamyan shares similar opinion.

He drew attention to the fact that before that, the Azerbaijani Armed  Forces simultaneously conducted large-scale military exercises in the  territories adjacent to the border with Armenia and Artsakh.  "On the  one hand, this can be seen as the" testing "of exercises, and on the  other, direct steps to exacerbate the situation locally. Both options  are not acceptable. In any case, the defeat of a military vehicle is  not from" ordinary "cases, and it's good that as a result our  servicemen were not affected by this incident, "he said, adding that  in any case, both of these incidents are difficult to consider as  steps to sharply aggravate the situation.

At the same time, Abrahamyan believes that the situation may be  aggravated gradually, but at this stage it will have a local  character.  As it became known from the message of the Ministry of  Defense of Armenia, the day before, as a result of a fire opened by  the enemy at Armenian positions in the direction of Nakhichevan, the  car of the RA Ministry of Defense was damaged and burned down.
