ArmInfo. Armenian government will continue to adhere to a decentralized model in the fight against coronavirus infection. This was announced on May 26 at a briefing in Yerevan by Deputy Prime Minister, commandant of the state of emergency Tigran Avinyan.
According to him, the executive body adheres to the position on the need to minimize restrictions on economic activity. This means that every citizen will have to contribute to the fight against COVID-19, thereby protecting his family and friends. The Vice Premier noted that in each case, individual decisions will be applied, such as, for example, in the Sevan region. He stressed that medical facilities are able to cope with the situation. In the near future, the number of tests in the country will increase sharply. In turn, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan, recalling the statistics on infection, noted that the country's health system was significantly strengthened. He reiterated that discipline and responsibility are critical factors in overcoming a pandemic. The Minister stated that the Armenian society for a long time will live in the current environment.
It should be noted that according to the situation on the morning of May 26, 289 new cases of morbidity were confirmed in Armenia, the total number of infected reached 7402, 91 patients died.
