ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia has found a way to unload the Meghri checkpoint on the Armenian-Iranian border. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the SRC RA.
"In order to reduce the load at the Meghri checkpoint, the State Revenue Committee decided that at the customs point at the checkpoint transit declarations will be filled out for goods transported from Iran on trucks registered in Armenia. Then, these goods will be sent to other customs structures and terminals where final customs clearance and dispensing of goods will be carried out, "the SRC said in a statement. It should be noted that from the second decade of February, the Armenian-Iranian border has been closed for the passage of citizens. The prohibition does not apply to goods transported under strict preventive measures.
