Demonstrators are marching from the Liberty Square towards the Republic Square. Member of Anti-Crisis Initiative Albert Baghdasaryan informed from the tribune that the following route has been chosen: Liberty Square-Mashtots Avenue-Amiryan Street-Republic Square.

Activist Andrias Ghukasyan severely beaten up in detention facility

Activist Andrias Ghoukasyan who was detained on suspicion of organizing mass disorders in Yerevan has been severely beaten up at the detention facility, according to a member of the Anti-Crisis Council Saro Saroyan. In this light, Sarosyan applied to Zaruhi Postanjyan, the head of the Heritage Party, asking her to visit Ghukasyan and petition for his transfer to the medical point.

Oxfam jointly with EDRC summed up monitoring results of social service for lonely elderly programs

"Oxfam" Office in Armenia and Economic Development and Research Center presented the results of the independent monitoring of the following state-funded programs: "In-home Social Services for Lonely Elderly" and "Social Services for Lonely Elderly and Disabled People in-home and in Care Centers of Armenia's Regions". Within these programs household, medical, juridical, physiological and other services were provided to around 3300 lonely senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Lydian International Limited (TSX:LYD) ("Lydian" or "the Company") has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company approved the terms of a proposed non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement") of ordinary shares of the Company to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the "EBRD") on July 21. Under the terms of the proposed Private Placement, the EBRD will subscribe for an aggregate of 33,500,000 ordinary shares of the Company at a price of C$0.34 per share, for aggregate gross proceeds of C$11,390,000. The funds will be used to finance the Environmental and Social Mitigation Measures (ESMM) undertaken as part of the Amulsar Gold Project in Armenia.

VTB Bank (Armenia) is the first on Armenian market to launch money transfers via TelCell system

VTB Bank (Armenia) jointly with TelCell company has launched another convenient way of sending and receiving money transfers on the territory of Armenia, the fee is 1% from the transfer amount but no less than 200 AMD/30RUR/$0.4/0.4 EUR. At the same time the fee is not commissioned from the recipient. The press-service of the bank has told ArmInfo that in order to send a transfer via TelCell Transfer system through branch network of VTB Bank (Armenia) one needs to have passport and present the data of the recipient. The transfer will be made in 5 minutes.
