The latest position and statement of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs was addressed to Azerbaijan, vice-speaker of the Armenian parliament, press-secretary of the RPA, Edward Sharmazanov, told journalists after the sitting of the executive body of the Republican Party of Armenia.
"Diplomatic ethics requires that there be no clear specificity in the assessments, but a call to the parties. I think everyone, both the leaders of the Co-chair countries and the experts, interested in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, are aware that lately the Azerbaijani authorities carry out actions aimed at destabilization, which is not derived from the logic of our negotiations," Sharmazanov emphasized , reconfirming that the Co-Chairs' message was directed against the destructive policy of Azerbaijan.
To recall, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs have recently issued a statement expressing deep concern about the tension in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, increasing violence, including the murder of civilians in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. They urged the parties to commit themselves to avoiding casualties and rejected the deliberate targeting of villages and the civilian population. They called on the Foreign Ministers to defuse tensions and adhere to the terms of the ceasefire.
