A renovated Music School opened in Dilijan on October 4. Armenian Vice Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan attended the opening ceremony.
At present the School has over 60 pupils. A total of 77 million AMD was spent on the construction and furnishing of the School. The major part of this amount (42 million AMD) was allocated by the community and the remaining part - by the Dilijan Development Fund and Counterpart International.
Head of the Fund Artur Hakobyan told journalists that the Fund's activities will keep giving high priority to educational projects.
Earlier ArmInfo reported that the Fund will be working in three areas: economic, educational and cultural. The program of Dilijan's development seeks to attract local and international investors, create the town's master plan, support the micro and small enterprises, develop the tourism infrastructures, create sport centers, preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the town and create resting areas.
The founders of the Fund are Ruben Vardanyan (well-known Russian businessman and philanthropist) and his spouse Veronika Zonabend.
