The hypermarket Carrefour will open in Armenia in autumn of the current year, ambassador of France to Armenia, Henri Reynaud, said at today's press-conference in Yerevan.
He also added that the opening of representation of the known French company in Armenia will fuel development of economic relations between the two countries.
The ambassador thinks that the level of the economic relations should be developed up to the level of the political dialogue. He recalled that a regular meeting of the Armenian-French Business Club was held on 8 July in the Embassy, and a representative of Carrefour, Christian de Nale, was appointed as president of the Club.
The Club has been functioning in Armenia since 2012. It consists of such French companies or companies with French capital in Armenia, as Orange Armenia, ACBA Credit Agricole, Carrefour. etc.
The ambassador is confident that the Armenian-French Business-Club is a rather convenient platform for drawing out new ideas for development of economic cooperation. Henri Reynaud also thinks that the education sector is also one of the key sectors of the Armenian-French cooperation.
