The first "Guide to Armenian Winemaking and Armenian Wines" has been published in Armenia. "We have all been looking forward to this event", Chairman of the Armenian Association of Winemakers Avag Harutyunyan told the media on June 5. He reminded that a similar book had been last published in 1968. Harutyunyan mentioned the importance of such books as a means of enticing investors into the winemaking sphere.
The new 2-voulme-guide has been published with the edition of 500 copies in Armenian, English and French. The first part tells the history of Armenian winemaking - from the first steps till the current situation. The second part contains information on the peculiarities and the quality of Armenian wines. Author of the 2-volume guide Anik Petrosyan has told the media that there are currently a score of winemaking enterprises operating in Armenia. The product of Armenian companies is quite competitive on the international market.
Armen Martirosyan, the head of "Antares" media holding, attended the presentation ceremony of the book. Antares has significantly contributed to the publication of the book. Martirosyan called the work "anthology of wines".
The journalists and guests of the event then moved to "The Club" where they degusted the best Armenian wines. "Antares" Holding was founded in 1992. The date of the foundation itself witnesses the thorny way that the company has passed through. The company managed to achieve stable position among leading companies both in Armenia and abroad. The Holding has marketing and advertising services and cooperates with the manufacturing sector with a number of enterprises, and all this was achieved due to the company's management that combined modern hi-tech equipment with the highly professional human resources.
