On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, U.S. Secretary of State Kerry shared a brief message on his Twitter account. In his message, Kerry says: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Armenians today."
John Kerry responded to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's condolence message towards the Armenians saying "the Prime Minister's dramatic description is confirmed international principles".
To recall, Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Erdogan for the first time on 23 April expressed condolences to descendants of the Armenian Genocide victims calling that panhuman tragedy "events of the 20th century."
