Google has honored the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims placing on the "am" zone a black ribbon with a note "In memory for the Armenians killed 100 years ago."
In a Facebook post, Samvel Martiroysan, an expert in the information security issues, called it an unprecedented fact, though Google has avoided using the word "genocide."
Earlier, the world's Armenians had been signing a petition to Google requesting a mourning doodle for April 24. However, specialists say Google does not place mourning doodles, much less in dark colors.
