French singer Patricia Kaas, who gave a concert in Yerevan on Sunday, visited Yerevan Brandy Company today.
Kaas and her musicians visited the company's cellar, where they were familiarized with the history of ArArAt brandy and the process of its production.
The company's CEO Artak Barseghyan showed the guests the Peace Cask, a barrel built in 2001 on the occasion of the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and containing brandy produced in 1994 – the year when the cease-fire in Nagorno-Karabakh was declared. The cask is supposed to be opened on the day the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is settled.
At the end of the visit Barseghyan granted Kaas a bottle of ArArAt Armenia brandy.
Kaas's concert in Yerevan was part of the two months of La Francophonie in Armenia.
Yerevan Brandy Company is part of Pernod Ricard Group and is the biggest brandy producer and grape procurer in Armenia.
