The 15th meeting of the CIS Council for Rail Transport (CRT) Passenger Commission commended in Yerevan today, on March 4.
Gennady Verkhovikh, Chairman of the Commission, Head of the Passenger Traffic Department at the Russian Railways OJSC, told reporters about 20 issues are on agenda of the meeting, including such issues as the activity of the Passenger Committee for 2014, alterations and amendments to the Process of Technological exploitation of the inter-state system "Express" Automated Systems of Management etc.
Representatives of the railway administrations of Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Lativa, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Estonia will attend the meeting in Yerevan.
CIS Council for Rail Transport (CRT) was founded on Feb 14 1992 to coordinate the railway transport activity at the inter-state level and develop coordinated principles of activity.
CJSC "South Caucasian Railway" is a 100% subsidiary of JSC "Russian Railways" and provides concession management of Armenian railroads. CJSC "Armenian Railways" was referred to the concession management to the company "SCR" according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The term of the concession management is 30 years with possible extension for another 10 years.
