The state authorities have not been drawing due attention to the information security for many years, the statement spread by the Eurasian Cyber Security Organization reads.
"Yet in 2003 a scandal related to ArmenTel company was fudged, which was accused in interception of all the phone calls on the territory of Armenia. Quite possibly the same way as in case with the phone calls, the foreign owner of Argental Greek OTE Company had access to internet-flow from Armenia and naturally to emails, which were sent from the country", the statement reads.
In this light the organization calls for the leaders of the countries, members of CIS to close the cyber borders on the territory of CIS. The call is addressed to the presidents of Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstani and Tajikistan.
In conditions of unprecedented growth of Internet impact on all the fields of country's life, society and economy the Organization calls for the leaders of CIS countries to increase cooperation aimed at overcoming the cyber threats and cyber dependence from other countries. In order to achieve these goals it is proposed to create Eurasian Center on Coordination of work in cyber security.
The necessity of closing virtual borders of Eurasian countries, putting a restraint upon activity of large foreign search engines and social networks such as Google and Facebook, which refuse to cooperate with national authorities, is also emphasized. While all the anonymous messengers such as Viber, WhatsUp and Telegram must follow Skype's example, which cooperates with law enforcement bodies.
The Organization emphasizes the necessity to stimulate development and spread of own software all the government agencies and governmental companies must pass from foreign software with closed sources to software with open source. As well as development of large internet projects including content projects, service projects, projects of internet trade on the territory of Eurasian countries.
