Armenia and Georgia will build a bridge of friendship between their borderline villages of Bagratashen and Sadakhlo, Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili told journalists in Yerevan on Thursday.
He said that the bridge will symbolize the centuries-old friendship between the Armenian and Georgian nations.
Garibashvili said that Armenia and Georgia have all prerequisites for deepening their ties.
"This year our trade grew by 4.2% to $73mln. We are actively developing tourism. In the near future we are planning to eliminate the effects of the last landslide on the Georgian- Russian border. As soon as we do it, we will be able to reopen the Upper Lars check point and to restart the Russian gas supplies to Armenia," the Georgian PM said.
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the need to improve transport links between the two countries and to preserve each other's historical and cultural monuments.
