On June 9, the Investigation Committee of Armenia arrested two persons on suspicion of implication in the May 2 incident in Goris.
The press office of the Investigation Committee has told ArmInfo that the two persons are suspected to have committed a crime under Article 113 Part 2 Item 3 of the Armenian Criminal Code (infliction of moderately severe bodily injuries by a group of people).
To note, on may 2, the Goris police precinct received a call from the Goris Medical Center at around 9:35 pm. "With a right-eye injury - eyelid cut" Harut Zakaryan was hospitalized on the same day. According to the police report, on May 2 at around 4 pm Harut Zakaryan quarreled with Syunik Governoir Surik Khachatryan's son Tigran Khachatryan in Goris. Afterwards they headed towards a place called "Sdgi Gyol" where other people joined them. The quarrel turned into a fight during which Harut Zakaryan received an eye injury. On May 4, the Prosecutor's Office of Syunik instituted a criminal case on "hooliganism by unidentified persons".
Harut Zakaryan's father Gagik Zakaryan told ArmInfo that it was Tigran Khachatryan's guilt. By to some data, Surik Khachatryan and his second son were seen at the crime scene. Harut Zakaryan was taken to Moscow, where he underwent eye removal surgery.
