Tbilisi. Tbilisi City Hall disproves rumors about increase of a price for traveling by municipal transport - buses and metro in the city as a result of electricity tariff growth.
The Georgian National Energy Regulation Commission made a decision to increase electricity tariffs in Tbilisi by 36% at the end of last week. At the present time, traveling by buses and metro costs GEL0,5 (approx. $0,21).
"Tbilisi City Hall excludes increase of the price for traveling by municipal transport in connection with electricity tariff growth. This will not concern any municipal transport", the official of the city government's press-office stated on Tuesday, September 8.
