Armenian opposition lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan has lodged a parliamentary request to Head of the Special Investigative Service Vahram Shahinyan over the case of Samvel Alexanyan, MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
The oppositionist notes that on June 17 Armen Israelyan, who introduced himself as Alexanyan's employee, said on cameras of armtimes.com that there is a criminal scheme under the direction of the lawmaker. Pashinyan says that Israelyan also pointed at Malatia Police Department's complicity in the given crimes. "After the relevant publications and my statements in Parliament, Israelyan recanted his statements, but the specified website should feature the facts though the initial source denies them," the MP stresses. Pashinyan wonders what measures the Special Investigative Service has taken to check the facts and launch proceeding in the statutory manner. Pashinyan has sent a similar request to Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan.
Earlier, Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper reported that MP Alexanyan's former employee Armen Israleyan accuses the parliamentarian of kidnapping him and seizing his car-wash station, beauty salon and bakery, as well as the house and the garage he had bought through taking bank loans while working at Samvel Alexanyan's enterprise.
