Armenia and EU may sign a document of cooperation at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga, Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Head of the Caucasus Institute, said in response to ArmInfo's question in a press conference in Yerevan.
He said the European party will speed up the procedures and give relevant mandate to the negotiating group before the Summit.
"Maybe, it will be a new document with points on political and economic partnership. It doesn't follow that it will be an association agreement," he said. The expert believes that the new stage of the Armenia-EU cooperation may give new opportunities to Armenia.
To recap, Armenia was to initial an Association Agreement with the EU in November 2013. However, on Sept 3, 2013, President Serzh Sarysan announced that Armenia would join the Russian-led Customs Union.
