Restoration of the 6th century Holy Virgin Mary Church in Odzun, Lori region, Armenia, is over.
Fragments of an ornament and tiles dating back to the 6th century as well as ancient pottery were found during the restoration activities. A wine bottle with a note inside was found under the dome. It reads that the church was repaired in 1889 on the funds of the Abovyans Brothers. The note was transferred to the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts "Matenadaran" for restoration and study.
