Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan told a news conference on January 20 that the spring holidays in the country have been cancelled as the winter holidays were prolonged by 2 weeks due to ARVI and flu.
The minister said the lessons instead of the spring holidays will help catch up the ones missed during the long winter holidays. In addition, the lessons will be increased in number as well.
As of Jan 20, H1N1 killed 18 people in Armenia. Meantime, the Health Ministry says there is no ARVI and flu epidemic in the country.
All the hospitalized ARVI and H1N1 patients receive treatment free of charge.
